The European Commission is organising a Virtual Information Day on the 2020 LIFE call for project proposals.

The event is open to potential applicants presenting project proposals on green technology, nature protection and climate action.

The afternoon will be dedicated to networking with fellow participants to share experiences, match with potential new partners and meet representatives of the LIFE programme from the European Commission.

More than €450 million available

The European Commission has already introduced new measures to lessen the impact of restrictions due to the coronavirus pandemic include:

•     All submission deadlines are being extended by one month.
•     Private entities are no longer obliged to launch open tenders for contracts above €135 000
•     Projects can financially support small, local initiatives.
•     A special section on start-up companies has been integrated into the guidelines.
