The decarbonisation of the energy sector through solutions that enhance energy efficiency and the rollout of renewable energy are necessary to mitigate global climate change. The EU Strategy for the Alpine Region (EUSALP) has set itself the goal of reducing CO2 emissions from the energy sector in the Alpine region. One of the concrete measures implemented to achieve this goal, is the organization of the annual EUSALP Energy Award.
